Karla, CVT, BS  

Karla has has been with Smith Veterinary Hospital since 2004 as a Veterinary Technician.  She graduated from Ridgewater College, and also earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Her special interests include the clinical laboratory tests and dog reproduction.  She has been involved in the dog show world since she was a young child.  Karla has several pets of her own including a Boxer mix, a Dogue de Bordeaux, and 3 house cats.

Debra, CVT

Debra started at Smith Veterinary Hospital in June of 2007. She graduated from Argosy University in 2004. Her special interests include surgery/anesthesia and parasitology. Debra and her husband have a Jack Russell Terrier named Kenzie and a Min Pin named Bandit. They also have a cat named Pixie.  

Katie, CVT

Katie has been a veterinary technician at Smith Veterinary Hospital since 2005.  She graduated from Argosy University.  She volunteered at the farm at the Minnesota Zoo for 5 years before coming to work for us.  Her special interests include dentistry and canine reproduction.  Katie has a Labrador she got from Danikk Labradors and a cat.

Anne, CVT

Anne started at Smith Veterinary in March 2008. She obtained her AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE in June of 2000. She enjoys animal behavior, venipuncture and placing catheters. Anne and her family have a Dalmatian/Labrador mix, 2 German shepherds, 2 cats and a ringneck dove. On her time off Anne enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies.

Ali, CVT

Ali began working at Smith Veterinary in November 2008. She completed her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Duluth Business University. Ali shares her home with 2 yellow Labradors, Duncan & Brutus.  Recently she adopted a rat whose name is yet to be decided. Ali's special interests include surgical assisting, venipuncture and canine reproduction. When she is not caring for animals, Ali enjoys travel and film.
